Castlevania Advance Collection Surprise Launched, Out Today

Konami developed the first Castlevaniagame in September 1986. It was released on almost every platform. A number of Castlevaniaspinoff titles like Kid Dracula, and even an online fighting game called Castlevania Judgment were also available. The most beloved entries of the franchise were released on the Game Boy Advance during the 2000s. It has been long rumored that the Castlevania Advance Collection may be released to commemorate the 35th anniversary.

Nintendo Direct has been held online presentations, sometimes multiple times per year, for the past 10 years. On September 23, the third such showcase was held. During the event, a variety of exciting game updates were revealed. The new trailer was shown for the Bayonetta 3, and information about the next paid DLC extension for Monster Hunter Rise.

The Castlevania Advance Collection was the surprising announcement at September 23 Nintendo Direct. It’s not surprising that people didn’t know it was coming. The compilation is also available for purchase on Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox One. The collection will include 2001’s Castlevania, Circle of the Moon, 2002’s Castlevania, Harmony of Dissonance and 2003’s Castlevania, Aria of Sorrow. It also includes the 1995 Super Nintendo game Castlevania, Dracula X (also known as Vampire’s Kiss elsewhere in the world).

M2, a studio which has previously worked with Konami on Castlevania, and Contraanniversary collection collections, co-developed the Castlevania Advance Collection. The Advance Collection has four games that have received a few new features such as Rewind, Save/Load and Replay. An encyclopedia and a music player are included in the collection. This allows fans to listen to all the soundtracks and even some Castlevaniasketches. To enjoy different releases, players will be able to modify the game’s ROM region.

The Nintendo Direct showcase also revealed Castlevania and the return of some other retro classics. ActRaiser is a beloved classic that was first released on the Super Nintendo in 1990. A remastered version will be available for multiple platforms under the ActRaiser Renaissance. Shadowrun Trilogy will be available in 2022. It includes three titles from the tactical RPG series, Shadowrun and Shadowrun .
