Even Star Wars Show’s Actor Expected A Kenobi Trailer To Release

O’Shea Jackson Jr. starred in Obi-Wan Kenobi and expected that a trailer for Star Wars would drop today. The Straight Outta Compton star, who is also the son of actor Ice Cube and rapper Ice Cube, is one of many actors cast in the highly anticipated Disney+ series in an unspecified role. Moses Ingram and Indira Nanjiani are also part of the Obi-Wan cast.

Although plot details are not available, it is known that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series will be set a decade after the events of Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. It will see Ewan McGregor as the title Jedi, and Hayden Christensen plays Darth Vader. This will set the stage for another confrontation between the former masters and their encounter in Episode 4 – A New Hope. Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, and Owen Lars will return to reprise their roles in the prequel trilogy.

It was expected that an Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer would drop on Disney+ Day. However, this is not happening. O’Shea Jackson Jr. joked on Twitter that even he was expecting a Kenobi trailer. Below is his post.

Jackson’s reaction to the trailer is just one example of Disney’s plans on the Star Wars and the Marvel side of things. Lucasfilm released a behind-the-scenes sizzle video for Obi-Wan Kenobi, including concept art and interviews from McGregor and Deborah Chow. However, no footage was revealed. You can watch the video on Disney+.

Although it is not clear how long the Disney+ Day celebrations will last, it seems that the sizzle reel will be the Obi-Wan show’s final act. It’s possible that they were unable to create a trailer for the series because it was just finished filming a few months back. This is due to all the VFX work that goes into Star Wars. The sizzle reel has plenty to be excited about, even without a trailer. To tide themselves over until Obi-Wan Kenobi’s release, fans can still visit the Book of Boba Fett.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will have many connections to the broader Star Wars canon. Here’s every reveal from this new video. Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Jedi Master in the new Disney+ series. This clip is the latest official footage. The clip also features director Deborah Chow who was involved in The Mandalorian Season 1 and discussed Obi-Wan Kenobi’s eagerly awaited series. Obi-Wan Kenobi is set between Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. It will examine the dark times after the rise of the Galactic Empire. Obi-Wan (now known as Ben Kenobi) watches over Luke Skywalker when Jedi are enemies of a fascist Sith-led regime.

The 19 years that separated the original and prequel Star Wars Trilogies have been extensively covered in canon. The video game Jedi: Fallen Order, the animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and the spinoff Solo: A Star Wars Story all explore the early days of the Empire. The timeline moves towards the original trilogy. Star Wars Rebels, the TV series, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story depict the rebel alliance’s early and often futile attacks on the Empire. Rogue One links directly into A New Hope, as did the Star Wars radio drama in the Legends continuity.

Obi-Wan has spent most of his time on Tatooine, mainly left unaffected by Star Wars material. However, some Marvel comic issues and an episode of Rebels briefly touched on the subject. The Rebels episode featured Kenobi’s final confrontation with Maul, his old enemy (who survived his bisection), leading to Sith’s death. The Obi-Wan Kenobi concept art shows that the show will be rich in canon lore and broader Star Wars connections. It also includes surprising story details that tell a completely different story between trilogies than what the films suggested.

Concept art for the Imperial landed shuttlecraft was shown as a first piece. It featured a dark-armored figure leaving and a dark-colored Imperial pilot. Two Star Wars stormtroopers escorted them. People who are familiar with Star Wars This character will be familiar to fans of canon material. They are an Imperial Inquisitor who is a Sith-trained Jedi hunter and dark side-using Jedi. Shown in Rebels Various Marvel comics, and Jedi: Fallen Order The Empire’s most dangerous agents, the Inquisitors, were not officially members of the Sith Order. Sung Kang will play a lightsaber-wielding role in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Might this inquisitor be played by? The concept art shows that the Inquisitor will visit Tatooine regardless of their identity. This is terrible news for Kenobi.

Obi-Wan will do more than protect Luke

Many pieces of concept art suggest that Obi-Wan Kenobi will be leaving Tatooine to spend the series with Luke. It was clear that Ben was not in exile but was on a long-term mission. Ben Kenobi sat low on Tatooine’s remote planet, watching over Luke and waiting for the right time to make him a Jedi. This sizzle reel shows new locations that may not be Tatooine based on their terrain and settlements. Although it would be difficult for Ben to leave his job, he might fight and kill an Inquisitor from Tatooine. This could force him to travel to another world to end the trial to ensure Luke’s safety. Ben may also contact other Jedi Purge survivors, as he did with Ferus Olin in Legends with Ferus.
