Fortnite Battle Royale patch notes updated v18.20

Although the new combat SMGs and combat Assault Rifles have been revealed, they are not yet available for play in-game. It felt missing since Epic Games introduced the Among Us influenced Imposters mod in August. Voice chat functionality. Reintroduced to the competitive playlists Controversial Boundless skin

Another huge announcement saw the reintroduction of the highly criticized Boundless skin to competitive playlists. Boundless, a customizable superhero skin that can be made to either be fully white or black, was found to be pay-to-win. This allowed players to hide on the map.

Epic has announced that skin can now be used in competitive matches after some adjustments to lighting and shading.

Fortnite “Stay With Squad” option

Epic has clearly responded to a lot of fans’ requests by launching a new Stay With Squad option. The new Stay with Squad option, which Epic has been eagerly awaiting, will allow players to remain in the same duo, trio, or squad that they were paired with for multiple games.

Stay with Squad is currently only available to players who are in the NA-East region. However, it will soon be made available worldwide.

Fortnite patch notes version 18.20 — Bug Fixes

Finally, there were a few bugs fixed in v18.20.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from using a Fishing Rod in the passenger seat of a Motorboat, or the back of an OG Bear truck.
  • Fixed an issue with Battle Pass page unlock progress not always tracking correctly.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Nintendo Switch players from being heard in voice chat with players on other consoles.
