GAMING NEWS #177 – STEAM DECK and SAINT’S ROW Delay, SPIDERMAN NO WAY HOME TRAILER. ELDER SCROLLS 6. XBOX EXCLUSIVE
GTA: Definitive edition was the most talked-about remaster in recent memory, and it certainly made headlines. Another downer was the delay in both games and hardware. A movie trailer and a collectible saved this otherwise awful week. Continue reading to learn more.
STEAM DECK HAS SEEN A LITTLE DELAYED
During the holidays, we won’t be able to access our Steam library while on the move
The Valve portable Steam deck console has generated a lot of excitement. It was revealed in July and allows players to play Steam games from their mobile devices. Three editions were confirmed by Valve, including the 64GB base edition and two additional models that come with solid-state drives, 256GB, and 512GB, respectively. We’ll need to wait until February 2022 to be able to access our Steam libraries from the Steam Deck.
The planned release of the handled PC was scheduled for December, but it has been delayed by two months. Material shortages are the reason behind the delay, according to the veteran developer. Valve stated that the main reason behind the delay was due to global supply chain problems and material shortages. Valve used the opportunity to hold a virtual developers event in which they addressed the concerns of developers about the Deck before its release. NEW SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME TRAILER BREAKS THE INTERNET
A new record of 30,000,000 views in a single day is possible
The full trailer for the Spider-Man movie was as amazing as the teaser. We’ve all seen and heard that many villains from past movies will be making an appearance, but this trailer shows them in full force. The trailer explains that all the villains who were removed from their timelines should be dead and Doctor Strange encourages Peter to kill them. Strange is not something that a hero would do so Peter confronts him while also facing his entire rogue’s group.
Although Doctor Octopuss, Electro, and Green Goblin are the main characters, it was surprising that even the Lizard (and Sandman) made an appearance. Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield were not seen, so Marvel may be keeping that secret for the theatrical release. You can view the trailer if you haven’t yet.
NINTENDO PRESENTS ZELDA GAME AND WATCH HANDHELD COLLECTIBLE
Nintendo is a master of nostalgia and knows that it sells.
A launch trailer for the Legend of Zelda Game & Watch is now available in stores. The latest Nintendo collectible in the series includes three games and a few more modes. The Legend Zelda and Zelda II – The Adventure of Link are all included. The Legend of Zelda – Link’s Awakening is also included. Nintendo included even the Japanese versions for the first two games. These are from the NES era.
The Legend of Zelda Game & Watch handheld also features an interactive clock and timer modes. You can watch Zelda II battles in the background of the timer mode. You must beat all enemies before the time runs out. The background of Zelda is displayed on the clock screen. Both of these modes allow you to control Link and have some fun. SAINT’S ROW HAS BEFORE 6 MONTHS
It will not be compatible with other heavy-hitting games that were released in the previous release slot.
It’s not surprising that the developer has delayed the Saint’s Row restart due to poor reception. We didn’t anticipate it being delayed for six months. But that’s probably the best thing. The 23rd of August 2022 is the final release date. This gives the studio plenty of time to finish the game and hopefully avoid the fate of Cyberpunk, or the recent Game Technology Assessment.
The studio did not cite any negative reception for the delay but instead used COVID to justify the slow production. They don’t intend to change the story, characters, or any of their established game systems in any way shape, or form, which is something many doubt. The delay will allow the game to arrive later than other heavy-hitting titles, which is a positive thing that should make it more commercially successful.
TWITCH COMES TO NINTENDO SWITCH
It’s Twitch for Switch, but there are some drawbacks
Twitch is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. This isn’t the first time the streaming service has made it to the console market. It was already available for consoles such as Xboxes and HTML4_ PlayStation 5 . Switch owners can now access tons of streaming content, just like any other PC and console owners.
Although it may be four years since the Switch’s launch, it’s still better late than never. The Nintendo Switch Twitch application is small and requires only 31MB of storage space to install. Most users should be able to install it and use it easily. You can find a complete overview of Twitch on Switch as well as a list of drawbacks in our original news coverage.
