Mario Party Superstars Confirms More Classic Boards and Online Modes
Mario Party Superstars was announced during E3 2021. It made a point of promoting the fact that it included 5 Nintendo 64-era board options. The title was not known other than two boards, Princess Peach’s birthday cake and Space Land. The Nintendo Direct September 23 revealed the five remade boards and new modes.
This title is ‘s Super Mario Party’s launch. It aims to bring back everything that fans love about the series. This title aims to bring back the old boards and playstyles of the previous three titles, while updating them with some quality-of-life features.
Mario Party Superstars revealed that the other N64 boards are Woody Woods, Yoshi’s Tropical Island and Horror Land. These boards will be back with all their original special events such as the Monty Moles moving signs in Woody Woods and Horror Land’s day-and-night dynamics. The Direct also revealed special new modes in the trailer.
These modes will form part of the Mt. These modes will make up a section called Mt. Two modes were shown in the trailer: Survival, which is about being the last person standing in many minigames; and Tag Match, in which two players are pitted against each other in a co-op competitive mode. Mt. Minigames will offer seven courses, and the trailer assures viewers that all modes will be available online.
There’s plenty to look forward to in Mario Party Superstars. Many fan-favorite boards will be making a comeback, with updated visuals and modifications to enhance the experience. There’s also online play available.
Fans may feel disappointed that their favorite boards weren’t included in the announcement of all five Nintendo 64-era boards. It remains to be whether Mario Party Superstars has DLC that will bring back classic boards. However, it is possible that some of the new features may make up the difference.
