Call of Duty: Warzone Players Are Demanding Combat Scout Changes

Warzone was launched in 2020. Raven Software has made many changes to the game over the five seasons of battle royale. Players have many reasons to return to the game, including map modifications for Verdansk and new weapons. The community has not been happy with all the changes. Some fans have been calling on the developers to fix Combat Scout perk.

The Combat Scout perk was released with Season 5’s Tempered perk. It provides vital information to players on the battlefield. This perk is activated when a player damages an enemy. The wounded opponent will be highlighted briefly. This intel can change the outcome of a fight as the squad members who have it can also see the injured enemy. Some believe the Combat Scout perk is a way to balance the current meta.

Reddit user zfluffz posted a picture of the Combat Scout perk. They attempted to prove this by making a video. Warzone : Call of Duty Perk was OP. The clip began with the player shooting at an enemy who was hiding in a barn. The injured player fled behind a wall after they had successfully shot the opponent. Fortunately for the enemy, zfluffz could still see their location thanks to the Combat Scout perk. The highlighted enemy was then shot multiple times through the wall and knocked down.

This video by zfluffz has sparked discussion among members of the Warzone Community. Many players agreed with them, noting that the perk forced players to select Cold Blooded perk which prevents players being detected. Some players suggested that Combat Scout would be even more effective in shooting through walls of highlighted enemies if they had Full Metal Jacket.

zfluffz was not the only one who disagreed. They stated that Combat Scout was not an issue as long as there were perks to offset it. Others argued that players were forced to use the same perks each time. They argued that fights became less exciting and more predictable.

Fans continue to debate the efficacy of this perk. However, others are preparing for Season 6 Warzone. The new season, which launched on October 7, adds new content such as new operators and weapons and changes to Verdansk and the Gulag. It will be interesting to see how the developers address fans’ concerns about Combat Scout in this new season.

World of Warcraft: Soaring Spelltome Mount Revealed as Reward for Timewalking Event

World of Warcraftrecently revealed the return of Mage Tower. This is a series of challenging solo challenges that was popular during the Legionexpansion. Blizzard announced new rewards for players who complete the new challenges in Shadowlands Patch 9.1.5 via Timewalking . This mount may be familiar to those who voted last year in the ShadowlandsMount Poll.

The poll was conducted in September 2020 during the months before the release of World of Warcraft Shadowlands. Players were able to vote on any of five concepts. The winner would receive a free mount. The Wandering Ancient mount won the poll, while the Curious Caterpillar and Soaring Spelltome were never seen. The Soaring Spelltome is back, and it has some amazing, original animations.

The Soaring Spelltome reward will be given to players who earn the achievement “A Tour of Towers”, which is earned by completing seven of the unique challenges in the Timewalking version of Mage Tower. The Mage Tower is only available during Legion Timewalking. This will be added to World of Warcraft’s cycle of Timewalking activities. To get this amazing tome, players must level multiple characters as each challenge can only be met by certain classes and specialization combinations.

The mount is extremely detailed. The Spelltome’s features include arcane particle effects, detailed script on the book pages, and a completely unique model and animations. It is comparable to rare mounts from World of Warcraft‘s harder challenges or one bought from the cash shop. The animations of the player character for the mount pose are not yet revealed, but the unfinished emote is both stylish and flashy.

It’s quite amazing that this mount managed to make it into World of Warcraft after losing the poll. The Soaring Spelltome was in the penultimate place, with only Nerubian Swarmer scoring less than it did. World of Warcraft now has the second poll’s loser added to the game. Players are crossing their fingers and hoping that the rest of the players follow the example. One can only imagine the possibilities for the Slimesaber or Caterpillar mounts, given the amount of detail that went into the Wandering Ancient who changes with the seasons and the incoming Spelltome.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Players Mock the Game’s ‘Historically Accurate’ Audio

Call of Duty: Vanguard Players Mock the Game’s ‘Historically Accurate’ Audio

There have been a number of complaints about the Vanguard beta, including issues with visibility and audio. Some fans have gone further than that and accused the Call of Duty beta of sound mixing being deliberately designed to mimic a soldier with severe hearing loss.

Redditor ian2345 shared the argument that the game was set in 1945, towards the end of World War 2. Many soldiers would have suffered hearing damage from the lack of ear protection while on the battlefield. This is one reason for the constant audio problems that plague beta players. It makes it difficult to recognize muffled footsteps or even gunshots. Duty: Vanguard promised to resolve these issues during beta testing, but Sledgehammer Games have not made any concrete statements regarding the audio problems.

According to to ian2345, the audio issues are a clever attempt at creating realism. They add in the subtle, easily-missed detail of each sound being tinny, difficult to hear, and so on. The Vanguard Beta is currently under attack by cheaters, and the audio problems on top of it seem to have caused a lot of irritation. The sound effects of the gunshots can make it difficult to identify other players.

Fans have a lot of complaints about the audio from the feet. It is difficult to hear even if you are hiding or running around the battlefield. This isn’t the first time that a Call of Duty game had problems with footsteps– Call of Duty had the exact opposite problem with extremely loud footsteps that gave away players’ positions and allowed enemies to track them around the map. It was distracting but Call of Duty Vanguard‘s muffled footsteps may be worse, as @DEANOJEAVO demonstrates in a gameplay video. The clip shows a player wandering through a snowy map trying to find enemies that they can hear from far away.

It appears that other fans have responded well to ian2345’s complaints, although most comments dropped the faux reality argument in favor of critiquing the game directly. Redditors complained about Axis absence, while others focused on poor sound design. Twitch streamer xQc also criticized the Call of Duty Beta, focusing instead on its tanky enemies.
